New School Term

A new school term has started for me.  The next 10 weeks will be filled with math and legal ethics.  Yeah, math... not one of my favorite or best subjects.  My first assignment was okay, I got an 84% on it.  Ethics is a breeze... if you know anything about the legal field, it is really just common sense from there.  Having said that, I can see where many people would fail it... having no common sense, ya know.

I have decided that this term, I will work week by week, rather than my usual "do all the work in the first few weeks of term" bit.  Like I said, it's all simple enough and the math assignments are regulated to where you CAN'T work ahead at all... which totally blows because I WANT to get that shit out of the way.  I was unsure of what to expect from the math discussion boards and I am sorry to finally see them... ALL questions on the theory of math.  I don't even know basic math, let alone it's damn theory!  Maybe those will be where I work ahead... I will definitely need the extra time to get them right.

In life news, we got our first paycheck living here in Washington..............................

And we took a $400 pay cut.  No lie.  $400 just gone.  So when I say we are barely making shit work, I really mean it.  That was all of our play money!!  Literally all of the money we used to have dinner out here and there or whatever.  GONE.  After a week it still makes me want to vomit at the thought of our tiny budget.

Okay, so that is the ONE thing I miss about living in Hawaii.

Let's Try This Again...

Not what you may be thinking.

I'm talking about giving up the cigarettes.  I've done it twice for a substantial amount of time, so once again, I am going to quit smoking.

Test Results Are In!

Claire is fine!  She doesn't have malignant cancer, it was some common type skin tumor found in younger dogs.  Apparently it would have gone away, but I feel better having had it removed.  I am so glad she is okay!  The vet called when I was at Starbucks with friends -- and started crying...  And then we went to the pet store and got her some treats for the clean bill of health!!

700 Club

Not that ridiculous religious television show.... No.  It's my 700th blog post!!

I have been putting it off, waiting to hear about Claire's biopsy results, but they still aren't in.

It's been a long blogging journey thus far...  Though I feel some of my best work was done in my earlier 500 posts, I have since calmed down.  Well, not really.  I am still my wonderfully opinionated self.  I have striven to ignore and block much on facebook, thus lessening my material to rant upon.  Right now, there are no Drama Llamas in my life, at least not in the immediate vicinity.  School has kept me busy.  And most importantly, I have given up reading most of the blogs I follow due to the ever perpetual pregnancies and births.  One is birthing as another is getting knocked up.  That's just NOT all life is, people!  It's only a small part.  Everyone forgets this.  Like I have always said... I don't follow your blog or friend you on facebook to see and read ONLY about your pregnancy/children.

I still am a stay at home wife, I am spoiled rotten and I don't care if you are jealous and are total haters.  That just means I am doing something right.  Haters gonna hate.

I brag.  I have the world's prettiest Beagle and the best husband anyone could ask for.  And he gives me just about everything I ask for.  He is spoiled too.  We go where we want, when we want.  And like I say,  I make no apologies.

I live my life!

Visit to the Vet

Today Claire is going to see the vet for her skin lumps.  I am terribly nervous about it!  All I can hope for is that it's not cancer.  And I really hope they will be able to tell us exactly what it is today because not knowing is driving me crazy!

Keep her in your thoughts :)

Done

We are done unpacking!  There are a few boxes of clothes in our bedroom, but all the rest are either emptied or in our storage space.  And of course there is laundry to be done!

Claire is getting a trip to the doctor's this week.  She has a mole/knot growing on her skin, in her front "arm pit" area.  It doesn't make her flinch or yip when you touch it, so I hope that is a good sign, but it seems to have grown noticeably over the last month.

Keep Claire in your thoughts please!

Unpacking and Coming Together

Our household good came yesterday, and I have been constantly unpacking ever since.  Slowly, boxes are emptying and the house is coming together.  I have been able to sit in my favorite chair and crochet again, and we had a wonderfully comfortable sleep in our bed last night.

The only rooms that have the most work to be done in are the two spare rooms upstairs, the guest room and the reading room.  One of our book cases got badly damaged and barely stands up straight... Luke's rolling tool box had pieces broken off of it and a few other things had some small dents and scratches.

Other than the awful wait to get our things, I still recommend having the military move your things.  It was a lot of stress off of us when it came time to leave and it was nice to have everything brought into the house by someone else.

Stuff Day!

Tomorrow is the day I have been sooooo longing for since moving to Washington!  Our home goods are finally going to arrive!  We will have our house back.  I will have a normal bed again... A couch and a TV!  Claire will have all her toys and treats again.  And all my clothes will be back in my closet.

Did I mention I will have my bed?!?!

Unpacking is gonna totally suck but I am so glad to do it.  I had hoped our things would have gotten here before Luke went back to work, but he will help after :D

TODAY PLEASE!

Today is our delivery date for our household goods.  They confirmed with me yesterday that it would be today... but with a slight chance that it may be on the 16th.  I AM PISSED.  I want my stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am sick and tired of not having a real bed... I want my big comfy chair and a TV would be great seeing as we have had cable running for over a month now.

I WANT MY FRIGGIN' SHIT!

Like, yesterday!!!!!
